# Stakeholder Interview

Prepare, run, and synthesize an interview so the conversation turns into
evidence the team can act on.

## When to use

- An engagement needs primary input from people close to the problem.
- A hypothesis needs testing against reality before the deck.

## Steps

1. **Set** the interview's goal and the two or three things you must learn.
2. **Write** an open-ended guide that gets at the "why", not just the "what".
3. **Run** the interview, listening for surprises and following the thread.
4. **Capture** verbatim quotes alongside your notes.
5. **Synthesize** into findings tied back to the engagement's questions.

A short synthesis: the questions asked, the findings with supporting quotes,
and what they imply for the [[Engagement checklist]].
