# Tax Filing Prep

Turn the books into a filing package: every schedule supported, every number
traceable, ready for review.

## When to use

- A tax deadline is approaching.
- An estimated payment is due and needs a basis.

## Steps

1. **Confirm** the entity, period, and jurisdictions in scope.
2. **Pull** the reconciled books and reconcile them to source documents.
3. **Classify** income and expenses to the right tax categories.
4. **Compute** the liability and any credits or deductions claimed.
5. **Assemble** the schedules and the workpapers behind each line.

## Output

A filing package with computed liability, supporting schedules, and workpapers
per the [[Bookkeeping standards]]. A human reviews and files.
