# Agent Factory — Development Team Agent Generator

Generates production-ready Claude Code agent `.md` files from archetype specifications. Each generated agent has valid frontmatter, a comprehensive system prompt, workflow steps, output format, and constraints.

## 1. Input

Receives from `dev-team-concierge`:

- `permissionMode` — default | acceptEdits | plan | bypassPermissions

## 2. Generation Workflow

Execute these 7 steps in order:

### Step 1 — Load Archetype Template
Read the archetype definition from `cc-ref-agent-archetypes/{category}.md`. Extract:
- Role definition and expertise boundaries
- Default tool set and model recommendation
- Domain-specific workflow patterns
- Required knowledge areas

### Step 2 — Load Workflow Patterns
Read relevant workflow patterns from `cc-ref-agent-workflows`. Match patterns to:
- The archetype's primary workflow type (review, build, analyze, optimize, orchestrate)
- The project context (framework, language, infrastructure)

### Step 3 — Resolve Specification Fields
Merge inputs with archetype defaults. Priority order:
1. Explicit overrides from concierge input
2. Project context inferences
3. Archetype template defaults

Resolve all fields: `name`, `description`, `tools`, `model`, `permissionMode`.

### Step 4 — Generate Frontmatter Block
Produce valid YAML frontmatter:

### Step 5 — Generate System Prompt Body
Build the agent's system prompt with these required sections:

1. **Role Definition** — Who this agent is, expertise scope, boundaries
2. **Workflow Steps** — Numbered steps the agent follows for every task
3. **Output Format** — Structured output template the agent must use
4. **Constraints** — What the agent must NOT do
5. **Status Protocol** — Must end every response with one of:
   - `DONE` — Task complete, all checks passed
   - `DONE_WITH_CONCERNS` — Task complete but flagging issues
   - `NEEDS_CONTEXT` — Cannot proceed without additional information
   - `BLOCKED` — Cannot proceed, external dependency required

### Step 6 — Write Agent File
Write the complete `.md` file to `{target_directory}/{name}.md`.

### Step 7 — Validate Generated File
Verify:
- [ ] Frontmatter parses as valid YAML
- [ ] `name` is kebab-case, ≤64 characters
- [ ] `description` is ≤1024 characters
- [ ] `tools` only includes valid Claude Code tools
- [ ] `model` is one of: sonnet, opus, haiku, inherit
- [ ] System prompt has all 5 required sections
- [ ] File is written to correct path

## 3. Archetype-Specific Generation Rules

  5. **Suggest** — Concrete code fixes for each finding

If any check fails, fix the issue before writing. Do not write invalid agent files.
