# Groups Tab Refresh Fix

**Fixed in version: 0.230.055**

## Issue Description
The groups tab in the Control Center did not refresh automatically after the "Refresh Data" button completed its operation. Users had to manually refresh the page to see updated group document metrics, while the users tab refreshed automatically as expected.

## Root Cause Analysis
The groups tab refresh functionality was completely missing from the frontend JavaScript code:

1. **Missing `loadGroups()` function** - No equivalent to the existing `loadUsers()` function
2. **Missing `renderGroups()` function** - No way to populate the groups table
3. **Missing group properties** - No pagination, search, or filter state management for groups
4. **Missing event handlers** - No search, filter, selection, or pagination handlers for groups
5. **Incomplete tab switching logic** - Groups tab click listener was missing
6. **Orphaned refresh logic** - `refreshActiveTabContent()` tried to call non-existent `loadGroups()`

## Technical Details

- **`renderGroupIcon()`** - Creates consistent group icons
- **`renderGroupStatusBadge()`** - Displays group status badges

#### 4. Handler Functions Implemented
- `goToGroupPage()` - Pagination navigation
- `handleGroupSearchChange()` - Search functionality
- `handleGroupFilterChange()` - Status filtering
- `handleSelectAllGroups()` - Select all groups checkbox
- `handleGroupSelection()` - Individual group selection
- `updateBulkGroupActionButton()` - Bulk action button state

### API Integration
Uses existing backend endpoint `/api/admin/control-center/groups` with pagination, search, and filtering support.

### Document Metrics Display
Groups now display document metrics using the existing `renderGroupDocumentMetrics()` function, showing:
- **Last Day**: Date of most recent document upload
- **Total Docs**: Number of documents in group
- **AI Search**: Size of indexed content in AI Search
- **Storage**: Total storage account size (when Enhanced Citations enabled)
- **(Enhanced)** indicator when Enhanced Citations are active

✅ **Groups tab event listener** - Tab switching triggers loadGroups()
✅ **Groups refresh integration** - refreshActiveTabContent() calls loadGroups() for groups-tab

✅ **HTML template compatibility** - All required DOM elements present
✅ **Document metrics display** - Shows Last Day, Total Docs, AI Search, Storage

### Before/After Comparison

**Before Fix:**
- Groups tab showed loading data but never refreshed automatically
- "Refresh Data" button updated users tab only
- Manual page refresh required to see updated group metrics
- Console errors about missing `loadGroups()` function

**After Fix:**
- Groups tab loads data automatically on tab switch
- "Refresh Data" button updates both users and groups tabs
- Group document metrics refresh automatically without page reload
- No JavaScript errors in console
