# Igem Hp Wiki

> Plan, write, implement, or audit iGEM Human Practices, Integrated Human Practices, Education, Inclusivity, Sustainability, ethics, and stakeholder-engagement pages. Use when outside perspectives, responsibility, access, societal context, or engagement changed the project; do not use for technical pages with no stakeholder dimension.

# iGEM Human Practices Wiki

Document a responsible learning process, not a contact diary. The central evidence is how a perspective, need, or tension changed project framing, design, testing, safety, communication, or implementation.

For precedent research or substantial HP work, read the curated findings in [references/benchmark-corpus.md](references/benchmark-corpus.md) and the compact [reviewed-page index](references/generated/reviewed-pages.md). Read the full [official award ledger](references/generated/award-ledger.md) only when verifying or listing winners and nominees. Verify consequential details live.

For each consequential engagement or project change, adapt [assets/templates/integration-log.md](assets/templates/integration-log.md).

## Build the integration chain

For every material engagement, record:

`prior assumption → why this stakeholder or audience → method and safeguards → what was learned → team evaluation → concrete change → follow-up or unresolved tension`

Use dates and links to the affected technical or implementation page. Distinguish advice received from decisions the team actually adopted.

## Separate related functions

- **Human Practices:** context, values, stakeholders, responsibility, and project changes.
- **Education or communication:** audience need, learning objective, co-design, delivery, feedback, evaluation, and iteration.
- **Inclusivity:** barriers to participation or benefit, affected groups, design changes, and evidence of improved access.
- **Sustainability:** system boundary, positive and negative impacts, tradeoffs, data, and interaction among goals.

Stakeholder matrices, timelines, surveys, and frameworks are tools, not outcomes. Explain why each was selected and what decision it enabled. Address consent, privacy, power imbalance, accessibility, translation, and representativeness where applicable.

If AI assists transcription, translation, coding, summarization, or synthesis, preserve the original record, verify the output with a responsible team member, avoid uploading unnecessary personal data, and follow the coordinator's AI-integrity protocol.

## Audit quality

- Replace meeting counts with change evidence.
- Preserve disagreement and constraints instead of implying consensus.
- Avoid calling outreach Integrated Human Practices unless it affected the project.
- Bound survey conclusions to the sampled population and method.
- Connect implementation, safety, regulation, access, and sustainability assumptions.
- Render timelines, maps, matrices, accordions, transcripts, and long profiles accessibly on mobile and keyboard paths.
