# eslint Best Practices

## 1. Core Configuration: Flat Config is Mandatory

Always use the new flat configuration format (`eslint.config.js`, `.mjs`, `.cjs`, or `.ts`). The legacy `.eslintrc` format is deprecated and **must not** be used.
