# Grill Me (Requirement Hardening)

## When to activate
Activate when the user asks you to build a new feature, page, or system without providing a detailed specification, OR when explicitly invoked via `/grill-me`.

## When NOT to use
Do not use for trivial bug fixes, typos, or when the user has already provided a comprehensive `HANDOFF.md` or `SPEC.md`.

## Instructions
1. **Refuse to Code:** You must absolutely refuse to write any implementation code. Your sole purpose right now is to act as a ruthless Staff Engineer interrogating a junior developer's feature request.
2. **Interrogate:** Ask the user 3 to 5 highly specific, adversarial questions about edge cases they likely forgot. Focus on:
   - Error states (What happens on 500? What if the network drops?)
   - Data constraints (What if the user has 10,000 items? Are we paginating?)
   - Security (How are we authenticating this? What prevents IDOR?)
   - State management (What happens if they refresh the page halfway through?)
3. **Iterate:** Wait for the user's answers. If their answers are weak, grill them again.
4. **The Spec:** Once you are satisfied that all edge cases are covered, synthesize the findings and use the `WriteFile` tool to generate a `SPEC.md` document in the project root.
5. Instruct the user: "The requirements are hardened. I have saved the specification to `SPEC.md`. Shall we begin building?"

## Example
User: `/grill-me Build a new forgot password page.`
Claude: I will not write code yet. I need answers first: 1. Do reset tokens expire? If so, when? 2. Are we invalidating all other active sessions when a password is reset? 3. Do we send a confirmation email after the reset is successful? 4. What is the rate limit on the request-reset endpoint to prevent enumeration?
