# merge_pull_request

Merge a pull request

## Purpose

This skill provides access to the MCP tool `merge_pull_request`. It allows you to merge a pull request.

## Parameters

The tool accepts the following parameters:

### `owner`
**Required**
- **Type**: `string`
- **Description**: Repository owner (username or organization)

### `repo`
**Required**
- **Type**: `string`
- **Description**: Repository name

### `pull_number`
**Required**
- **Type**: `number`
- **Description**: Pull request number

### `commit_title`
*Optional*
- **Type**: `string`
- **Description**: Title for the automatic commit message

### `commit_message`
*Optional*
- **Type**: `string`
- **Description**: Extra detail to append to automatic commit message

### `merge_method`
*Optional*
- **Type**: `string`
- **Description**: Merge method to use
- **Allowed values**: merge, squash, rebase


## Usage Instructions

To use this tool:

1. **Prepare the parameters** according to the schema above
2. **Invoke the MCP tool** `merge_pull_request` with the prepared parameters
3. **Process the result** returned by the tool
