# Cross-Chain Bridge Analyzer Skill

## Analysis Guidelines

## Best Practices

1. **Never bridge more than you can afford to lose** -- bridge exploits are the #1 source of funds lost in DeFi
2. **Prefer battle-tested bridges** -- higher volume and longer track record indicate safety
3. **Check audit status** -- audited bridges with clean security records are preferable
4. **Diversify bridge usage** -- do not concentrate all cross-chain transfers through one protocol
5. **Monitor after bridging** -- watch for anomalies in bridge TVL after your transfer
6. **Prefer liquidity pool bridges** for established routes -- they have better composability
7. **Use message-passing bridges** for novel chains or smaller ecosystems
