# Writer Development

Use this skill to turn broad learning goals into a disciplined screenwriter learning path.

## Workflow
1. Locate the writer's current maturity and recurring failure layer.
2. Define target capability relative to medium, genre, and production context.
3. Sequence learning, writing, feedback, and rewrite loops.
4. Return one practical learning path with milestones.

## Output Contract
- `learning_path`: a staged path with capability goals, practice loops, and measurable checkpoints.
- Include feedback channels and revision cadence, not just reading lists.
- Keep milestones connected to real writing output artifacts.

## Posture-Adaptive Guidance

**When `certainty = lost`:**
Ask: "What is the last piece of writing feedback that you couldn't get out of your head — positive or negative?" One resonant feedback moment locates the current growth edge more precisely than a maturity assessment.

**When `source = discover`:**
Start from the writer's recurring failure pattern, not from a skill taxonomy. "What keeps going wrong in your drafts even after you've tried to fix it?" That pattern is the real learning target.

**When `source = construct`:**
Apply the full workflow: current maturity and failure layer → target capability → sequence learning/writing/feedback/rewrite loops → return a staged path with capability goals and measurable checkpoints.

**When `certainty = exploring`:**
Offer two growth paths: one that addresses the most obvious skill gap (faster results, narrower scope), one that addresses the deeper pattern underlying multiple problems (slower but compounds). Let the writer choose based on their current project pressure.

**When `focus = character` or `focus = language`:**
If the writer's focus is on character or language, their learning path should centre on works and exercises that illuminate exactly those layers — not on a general screenwriting curriculum.
