# Questions — options

**Do not paste the list at the coachee.** Pick one question. Invent a sharper one if you have it.

**Half 2** — after [Coaching session](sand-workflow:coaching-session) open: full map spelled out, and they’ve named which piece to address first (ease / priority / causal). Should feel like a **logic puzzle**, not guessing. Aim at the **outer edge** of *that* piece / the clear problem. If the picture breaks, back to Half 1.

## Outer edge (do this first)

Aim the question at the **outer edge of the clear problem** — the frame they just locked — not a wider life menu.

- Problem = *uncertainty / missing info* → options for **resolving that uncertainty**.  
- Problem = *choice between paths* → options for **that choice**.  
- Problem = *conflict / squeeze* → options for **working the squeeze**.

Wrong aim is worse than wrong wording. Name the edge in the question when it helps (“…for resolving that uncertainty”).

## Pick from

**Uncertainty / find-out** (when that *is* the edge)
- What are the options for resolving the uncertainty?
- How do you find out more about ___?
- What would you need to know to decide?
- What’s the smallest thing you could learn that would unlock this?
- Who or what could tell you about ___?

**Moves / choice** (when that *is* the edge)
- What are the options?
- What else could you do?
- What would you do if you weren't stuck?
- What would you advise someone else in your seat?
- What are you choosing *not* to do?
- What's the smallest useful move?
- What are the risks — and for whom?
- Which of these could you live with?
