Power Apps Mobile Extension
Power Apps Mobile Extension from microsoft/power-platform-skills.
Skills in this plugin
7- ▌ Generate Ppmplugin · microsoftBuild and verify a third-party `.ppmplugin` end to end. This recommended entry point detects Android and iOS source, confirms target platforms, then invokes the manifest, platform build, assemble, and audit stages in order. Advanced users can invoke a stage directly for focused reruns or debugging. Produces a native-only bundle (`manifest.json` plus an Android DEX and/or iOS framework) and stops on any failed stage rather than emitting an unverified partial build. Run after the native module exists.
- ▌ Build Android Binary · microsoftCompile a PAM control's Android Kotlin module into the runtime-loadable DEX for a `.ppmplugin`. Creates a staged Gradle build with the pinned wrapper and `react-android` compile dependency, verifies manifest/module/package alignment and runtime-loading constraints, builds the release AAR, then runs `d8 --min-api 24`. Writes `ppmplugin/staging/android/<PascalName>Plugin.dex` and surfaces actionable Gradle or d8 failures. Requires JDK 17+ and Android SDK Build-Tools 35.0.0; `d8` is located from the SDK and system Gradle is optional. Run after /generate-ppmplugin-manifest and before /assemble-ppmplugin.
- ▌ Publish Pcf Companion · microsoftDeploy the dispatcher PCF for a third-party `.ppmplugin` control to a Power Platform environment via `pac pcf push`. The dispatcher PCF is the Studio-side control that dispatches the composite key `<name>/<receiver>` over the wrap shell's `SendMessagePlugin` bridge to the control's native module. Verifies deploy prereqs (Node.js 20+ with npm, .NET SDK, and active `pac auth`), then three confirmation gates — publisher prefix (2–8 chars; defaults to `pamext` or the last-used value from `.extension-state.md`), version bump (patch / minor / major / no-bump), target environment URL (from `pac org who`). Builds the PCF if needed, then pushes. Decoupled from /generate-pcf-companion so the engineer can scaffold and customize locally, then deploy when ready. Updates `.extension-state.md` with deployment history (timestamp, env URL, version, prefix used).
- ▌ Test Native Extension · microsoftValidate a third-party control repo across four automated layers plus one printed manual recipe. Layer 1 asserts native-source structure (Android getName() and iOS +moduleName to manifest nativeModule; @ReactMethod / RCT_EXPORT_METHOD to methods; no @ReactModule) plus load/init readiness (ReactPackage public no-arg constructor, iOS [cls new] no-arg init, requiresMainQueueSetup NO, non-throwing eager construction), so launch-time crashes surface before any build. Layer 2 validates the committed `./manifest.json` against the ppmplugin-format rules. Layer 3 asserts request/response/error-code agreement across native and PCF. Layer 4 compiles the PCF (auto-skipped if absent). Layer 5 prints a device end-to-end recipe. Native compile belongs to /build-android-binary and /build-ios-binary — this is the cheap structural pre-flight before those slow builds. Reports pass/fail per layer with a fix hint and updates .extension-state.md.
- ▌ Generate Native Extension · microsoftRead the approved PRD.md and generate the native sources for a third-party PAM control (the compiled `.ppmplugin` track) — iOS Obj-C `<Pascal>Module` plus optional system-frameworks podspec, Android Kotlin `<Pascal>Module` with build.gradle, AndroidManifest and ReactPackage, a dev-only private package.json (react + react-native devDeps for the builds), and the committed `./manifest.json` dispatch contract the PCF and build stage both read. No TypeScript INativeExtension layer — the contract is the manifest plus the native modules' dispatch surface. Emits the layout in shared/repo-layout.md and generates substantially complete native code (compiled later by /build-android-binary and /build-ios-binary, not here). Local only — writes files, runs no git and touches no remote or feed. PCF is generated by /generate-pcf-companion; the bundle is built by /generate-ppmplugin.
- ▌ Generate Ppmplugin Manifest · microsoftValidate, reconcile to the chosen target(s), and stage the `manifest.json` for a `.ppmplugin` bundle. In the normal flow the committed `./manifest.json` already exists (authored by /generate-native-extension), so this stage reads it, runs the plugin's upload-compatibility checks locally as a pre-flight gate (name regex, canonical prefix, known incompatible names, method and identifier shapes), reconciles `entrypoints` down to the platform(s) you ship, and writes the gitignored staged copy `ppmplugin/staging/manifest.json` that /assemble-ppmplugin zips. If no committed manifest exists (a hand-authored module) it falls back to deriving every field from the class name and Android module source, writing both the committed file and the staged copy. No toolchain — pure read, validate, write. Target-aware. Run after the native module exists, before the build skills.
- ▌ Design Native Extension Feature · microsoftCapture a 2-3 line pitch from the user, draft a product overview (PRD.md) and a technical design (ARCHITECTURE.md) for a third-party `.ppmplugin` native control, then walk through every operation's iOS + Android implementation strategy with opinionated recommendations (library choice, hosting, key APIs, edge cases) and capture the agreed spec in ARCHITECTURE.md §3.<n>. The depth of ARCHITECTURE.md is what lets the scaffold skill generate complete working code instead of TODO placeholders. Iterates with the user until they approve both docs. Optionally seeds from a design doc / FRD URL. PRD.md + ARCHITECTURE.md are the source of truth for every downstream skill (generate, build, assemble). Run this BEFORE any code is generated.
