agentskillexchange Build and sync n8n workflows from code with n8n-as-code
Inspect n8n nodes and templates, generate typed workflow code, and sync automations through Git-friendly files instead of hand-editing workflow JSON.
Prerequisites
Node.js, npm or npx, access to an n8n instance, a supported coding agent or CLI environment
Installation
Use the upstream install or setup path that matches your environment:
- npx --yes n8nac env add Dev --base-url https://n8n.example.com --sync-folder workflows/dev
- npx --yes n8nac env use Dev
- npx --yes n8nac update-ai
- npx --yes n8nac env add Local --managed-instance --sync-folder workflows/local
Requirements and caveats from upstream:
- | Agent-ready context | Generate grounded instructions, schemas, examples, and node knowledge so AI agents can work on real n8n workflows safely. |
- The skills layer gives agents grounded n8n knowledge: node schemas, docs, examples, templates, validation rules, and safe workflow operations.
Basic usage or getting-started notes:
Documentation · Getting Started · VS Code Guide · [CLI Guide](https://n8na...
| Live n8n operations | Verify workflows, inspect credentials, run tests, activate workflows, and inspect executions against a selected n8n environment. |
