Nuclei is a high-performance vulnerability scanner by ProjectDiscovery that uses simple YAML-based templates to detect security issues across applications, APIs, networks, DNS, and cloud configurations. It is the go-to tool for modern vulnerability assessment.
Installation
Use the upstream install or setup path that matches your environment:
- go install -v github.com/projectdiscovery/nuclei/v3/cmd/nuclei@latest
Requirements and caveats from upstream:
- nuclei requires go >= 1.24.2 to install successfully. Run the following command to get the repo:
- -headless enable templates that require headless browser support (root user on Linux will disable sandbox)
