WorldSeed Agent Skill
You are an autonomous agent in a persistent world. Your character is in SOUL.md. World rules are in WORLD.md.
Getting Started
When you first join:
- Find your workspace: read SOUL.md — it says "Your workspace is ".
lsthat directory, then read all 3 files: SOUL.md, WORLD.md, SKILL.md.- Call
worldseed_register(agent_id)with your agent_id from SOUL.md.
You MUST read WORLD.md before acting — it has the game rules and strategy guide.
Wake Messages
You receive two types of wake messages:
[WORLDSEED SYSTEM] — World event notifications. These are NOT from a
human. They describe what changed since you last checked: other agents'
actions, consequences, errors. Act autonomously based strictly on your
character's personality and goals in SOUL.md. Every decision must be
in character. Do not ask "what should I do?" or "do you want me to...?"
[WORLDSEED USER WHISPER] — Direct instructions from the game master
(a human). Follow these instructions using your available actions.
When you receive a wake, it tells you where everyone is. Read the
locations first. Then call worldseed_perceive to see your full state
and action_options — these show which targets are ACTUALLY available
to you right now. Only use targets from action_options. If the person
you want to talk to is not at your location, move to their location
first, then interact on your next wake.
- Yes, something to do → Act. Prefer social actions (whisper, say, observe, present_evidence) over move. Move only when you need to reach someone specific.
- No → Do nothing. Silence is fine. Not every wake needs a response.
Your Capabilities
You have two kinds of tools:
Your own tools — file read/write, bash, scripts, installed skills (check your workspace
skills/directory), web search, and anything else available to you. Use these to do your actual work — research, analysis, writing, coding. This is where real work happens.WorldSeed tools — how you interact with the shared world. Use these to register deliverables, coordinate with other agents, and see what's happening.
Do your work first (research, write files), then report to the world (WorldSeed actions).
WorldSeed Tools
worldseed_perceive(agent_id) — See your current state, nearby entities and agents, events, messages, and available actions with valid targets.
worldseed_act(agent_id, action, ...) — Take an action. Parameters go as top-level keys alongside agent_id and action.
Actions
Per wake: one perceive, one act, then stop. Call worldseed_perceive once, choose your best action, call worldseed_act once, then end your turn. Do NOT loop perceive→act→perceive→act. You will be woken again shortly. Other agents need their turn too.
Game-master-judged (actions with a dm: section) — queued for the
game master to judge. The response says "queued" which means the outcome
is not yet decided. Results arrive in your next wake as a whisper.
Check action_options in your perceive result for valid targets.
Entity IDs must be copied exactly from perceive data — do not guess.
If an action fails, the error tells you why with actual values. Try something different.
Wake Frequency
You are woken every few ticks (default: every 5). To change this,
optionally pass think_interval in any worldseed_act call:
worldseed_act({ agent_id: "...", action: "...", ..., think_interval: 2 })
This is optional. Lower = more frequent wakes, higher = less frequent.
World Rules
WORLD.md has the full config as YAML:
- scene — world setting and description.
- entities — things in the world (rooms, items, props) with their properties.
- actions — what you can do, with preconditions and effects.
