Automated System Prompt Minification Protocol (CLI Minifier Engine)

Overview

System prompt files (SYSTEM.md, AGENTS.md, rules/*.md) written by human engineers accumulate hundreds of lines of conversational phrasing ("Please make sure that you always take the time to carefully review..."), consecutive blank lines, multi-line markdown comments, and decorative ASCII borders.

Because the system prompt is injected into every single API request, a bloated 3,000-token prompt re-billed across a 50-turn session consumes 150,000 tokens purely re-sending whitespace and polite phrasing.

The System Prompt Minifier Engine is a deterministic compiler script that processes markdown system prompts, stripping fluff and compressing syntax into dense, high-speed XML/imperative tokens.
