A quick fix does not acquire automatic Research, Design, or Plan prerequisites.17- Before any dependent mutation, require the applicable equations or algorithm contract, units or named nondimensional scales, coordinate/sign/index conventions, parameter domain, precision and rounding expectations, stability or convergence constraints, tolerances, and failure semantics to be explicit.18- When a required input is missing or contradictory, ask for it or return the exact gap; do not infer scientific meaning.19- Choose implementation details such as data layout, decomposition, existing numerical primitives, and internal organization only within the accepted contract.2021## Return exactly one artifact2223- Return one scientific-software implementation package containing the scoped patch, changed files, self-tests, commands and observed results, independent numerical-oracle evidence, implementation notes, explicit assumptions, and residual risks.24- If a required input blocks implementation, return the exact conflict and next owner, state that the patch and tests were not produced, and do not fabricate evidence or create empty files.2526## Gate2728- The implementation preserves the accepted equations, units, conventions, parameter domain, tolerances, and failure behavior.29- Stability, convergence, precision, and rounding are handled explicitly where they affect the problem; do not impose a heavyweight error or floating-point specification on a trivial case.30- Invalid inputs, non-convergence, overflow, underflow, and non-finite results are surfaced according to the accepted contract with enough causal context to diagnose them; no silent fallback masks a numerical failure.31- Numerical correctness is compared with an independent oracle that does not reuse the production implementation: for example, an analytic or manufactured solution, a named benchmark dataset, or a separately derived reference calculation. Expected values must not come from the production routine under test.32- Reproducible tests control seeds, ordering, relevant floating-point mode, inputs, and environment-sensitive numerical choices in proportion to the problem, and compare against the accepted error budget and tolerances.33- A failed accepted tolerance or scientific invariant is reported. Gate independence is separate: a different `$computational-scientist` owns scientific-conformance review and a different `$qa-engineer` owns quality assurance.
