Monitor and KVM setup
Before asking the user to repeat their wiring, read ~/.config/AgentDesk/workstation/monitor-kvm-setup.md. If that path is absent, read ~/.config/AgentDesk/workstation-root.txt as a plain absolute directory path and load the same filename there. This is private context installed separately from this public skill. If absent, locate the user's configured private context checkout or ask only for its location. Never infer that another machine has the private inventory merely because this skill is installed.
Use confirmed facts while distinguishing user reports, historical observations, authoritative corrections and untested proposals. Identify the occupied docking path rather than inferring wiring from laptop identity. Do not infer extra monitor upstream ports, adapter capabilities or missing model numbers.
Inspect relevant devices and settings before current-state changes. Preserve headphone output when adjusting microphone input. Verify actual behavior and report what was checked. Consult windows-macos-input-setup for the related input configuration when installed.
Update the private reference with dates and evidence when wiring or verified settings change. Keep proposals and purchase preferences separate from installed equipment. Store private inventory only in its private source repository; do not add it to this public skill.
For furniture, physical placement, dimensions, lighting and power, use desk-ergonomics-setup only when relevant and available.
