mahou:basics loads this skill, so every mahou skill has its indexes. When invoked on its own, load mahou:basics first.

Procedure

1. Read both root indexes. Each index covers its own level only: the folders and files sitting next to it. Open nothing else yet.
2. When a skill or the user asks for a lookup, follow the folders relevant to the question into their indexes, descending one level at a time.
3. Read only the entries that answer the question.
4. Report what the entries say, with their verified date. When an entry is old enough that the knowledge may have moved, verify against current documentation before relying on it, and say you did.
5. Nothing matches. Say so and move on. The gap gets filled through mahou:learn, not mid-task.

Entries are written by mahou:learn or by the author by hand. This skill reads them; it never writes them.
