Weekplan
Planning here means deciding what does not get made. A plan that contains everything that would be possible isn't one.
Approach
PILLARS.mdfor the target distribution,FORMATS.mdfor the available formats,LEARNINGS.mdfor what has performed recently.- Pull open ideas from the connected task tool, if one is connected – everything not yet produced. Without a tool: ask for the idea backlog.
- Check occasions in the coming weeks: holidays, season, client dates, ongoing campaigns.
- Clarify capacity: how many shoot days are available? Without that number the plan is fiction. If it wasn't given, assume one shoot day and flag that.
- Build the plan, check the balance, create the tasks.
Balance Check
Compare the planned distribution against the target shares from PILLARS.md and show the deviation openly:
Educational planned 2 (50%) target 40% +10
Behind the Scenes planned 1 (25%) target 30% -5
Sales planned 1 (25%) target 20% +5
A deviation of up to ten percentage points is immaterial – say so and don't tinker with it. Justify larger deviations: a sales week before a launch is allowed to fall out of line, as long as it's intentional.
Factor in Shoot Economy
Videos shot at the same location, in the same outfit, or with the same setup belong in the same week – otherwise one shoot day turns into two. Point it out when swapping a single video would save the plan half a shoot day.
Output Format
# WEEK <week no.> · <date to date>
SHOOT DAY: <Date> · VIDEOS: <n> · PILLARS: <Distribution>
## <Weekday>, <Date> · <Platform>
Title: <Working title>
Pillar: <Name> Format: <Name>
Idea: <two sentences on what it's about>
Hook: <Direction, not yet worded out>
Shoot: Block <n> on <Date>
Status: <new | from backlog | Recycling>
After that, the balance check, then Not This Week – two to four ideas from the backlog that are deliberately left aside, each with a half-sentence justification. This section isn't optional: it's what makes the selection verifiable.
Task Tool
Which tool holds the tasks is the user's decision — whatever is connected as a connector gets used (Asana, ClickUp, Todoist, Notion, Linear, or similar). If none is connected, output the plan as a copy-ready task list and create nothing.
If a task tool is connected, create one task per video:
- Title: working title
- Description: idea, pillar, format, hook direction
- Due: planned publish date
- Subtasks: Script · Shoot · Cut · Caption · Post
- Shoot subtask on the date of the shoot day
Show beforehand what will be created, and ask for confirmation before writing. For tasks that already exist from the backlog, update instead of creating new ones – no duplicates.
