Notion Manager Skill
This skill provides specialized procedures for interacting with Notion via the MCP server. It ensures that data is stored in a structured, queryable, and visually organized manner.
Core Capabilities
1. Database Management
- Task Tracking: Create and update tasks in a "To-Do" database with properties like
Priority,Status, andDue Date. - Content Archiving: Save summarized research or study materials into a knowledge database.
- Querying: Search for existing information before creating duplicates.
2. Page Organization
- Structured Layouts: Use headings, callouts, and lists to make information readable.
- Multi-Level Content: Create sub-pages for complex topics (e.g., "HR Law" -> "Education Act").
Workflow: Creating a Study Plan
When asked to create a study plan in Notion:
- Locate Database: Search for a database named "Study Plan" or "Tasks".
- Verify Schema: Identify required properties (e.g., Date, Subject, Done).
- Batch Create: Create pages for each study session with the relevant materials attached as page content.
Best Practices
- Atomic Updates: Update one property at a time if the API feels sluggish.
- Relational Links: Use relations to link study materials to specific exam dates.
- Avoid Clutter: Summarize long texts before saving them to Notion to stay within property limits.
Troubleshooting
- If "Access Denied": Remind the user to "Add Connection" to the specific page in the Notion UI.
- If "Database Not Found": List all accessible databases to help the user identify the correct ID.
