Initialize project locally
Read the project's README, .env.example, docker-compose.yml, and
pyproject.toml / package.json first, then use the real values for this project.
Typical steps
- Env:
cp .env.example .envand fill in required values. - Dependencies: install them (
uv sync/npm install/poetry install/ …). - Services: start the DB/queue (
docker compose up -dif there's a compose file). - Migrations: apply them (
alembic upgrade head/prisma migrate dev/ …). - Seed: run any seed/fixtures command the project provides.
- Run: start the dev server(s).
Validate
Hit the health endpoint or open the app and confirm it loads.
Notes
- Exact ports, service names, and commands differ per project — always check the repo's own config and README rather than assuming defaults.
