Stream Synapse Job Logs
View and stream logs from a running or completed Synapse job.
Arguments: the user request or explicit arguments
Workflow
Step 1: Parse Arguments
$1- Job ID (required)--follow- Stream logs in real-time (default: false)--host/--token- Backend auth overrides (optional)
If job ID not provided:
Please provide a job ID. You can find it from:
- `synapse plugin run <action> --mode job` output
- `synapse plugin job get <job-id>` if you already have the ID
Step 2: Fetch Logs
Execute the log streaming command:
# Basic log fetch
synapse plugin job logs [job-id]
# Stream logs in real-time
synapse plugin job logs [job-id] --follow
# With explicit backend auth
synapse plugin job logs [job-id] --host https://api.synapse.example.com --token $SYNAPSE_TOKEN
Step 3: Display Output
Format log output with:
- Timestamps
- Log levels (INFO, WARNING, ERROR, DEBUG)
- Progress indicators if available
- Metrics if recorded
Step 4: Monitor Status
While streaming (--follow):
- Show real-time progress updates
- Display metrics as they're recorded
- Alert on errors or warnings
- Notify when job completes

Troubleshooting
- Job not found: Verify job ID is correct
- No logs available: Job may not have started yet
- Connection lost: Check network and retry with
--follow
