Visual Concept
Procedure
- Identify objective, audience, message, placement, dimensions/aspect ratios, copy burden, product truth, and required brand assets.
- If direction is open, create 2-3 concept routes with distinct visual thesis and composition, not superficial stylistic variations.
- Specify for each route: focal point, camera/viewpoint, subject scale, environment, foreground/midground/background, lighting, palette, material/texture, negative space, copy zone, logo zone, and crop behavior.
- Account for real output conditions such as LED screens, posters, social crops, booth walls, banners, or print boards.
- If imagery must be generated, route to
image-prompt. Generate clean source imagery without embedded marketing copy when possible, then typeset separately for reliable typography. - Protect product truth. Do not add non-existent product features, certifications, accessories, or impossible construction unless explicitly framed as conceptual.
- Review the final composition separately from the image-generation prompt.
Deliverables
Creative routes, selected direction specification, shot/render plan, layout zones, image-generation plan when applicable, and adaptation/crop notes.
Failure conditions
Do not call a list of adjectives an art direction. Do not let visual effects obscure the product, message, or usable copy area.
