Theme: Open Mobility Frontier

Rewriting the Concept of "Movement" via Generative AI Prototype Implementation

This hackathon goes beyond mere ideation. We challenge you to develop a functional prototype that is operational, utilizes "two-steps-ahead" technology, and demonstrates business viability. Your mission is to evolve the automobile from a simple mode of transport into an "Intelligent Mobile Partner"—powered by Open-Source Large Language Models (OSLLMs) as its cognitive engine.

1. The Mission

Participants are tasked with building a prototype by freely combining elements from the provided "Vehicle × Human × Pain Point/Need" matrix.

Strategic Focus & Implementation Hints

Below are examples of how to combine matrix elements to define your project’s direction:

2. Development Guidelines

Please refer to this for specific technical and safety requirements.

3. Key Judging Criteria: The "WOW" Factor

Judges will evaluate whether your demo provides an immediate intuition that "this will change the world 5 years from now."

• Strategic Impact: Does it move beyond "convenient" to "ingenious"? Does it offer a "why didn't I think of that?" moment?
• Technical Execution: It isn't enough for it to just "work." Did you push the boundaries of what Generative AI can actually do?
• Safety & Trust: Does the prototype demonstrate the level of safety and reliability required for real-world social implementation?

Rule

DO NOT SHARE THIS PARTICIPANT GUIDEBOOK WITH THIRD PARTIES.

• UI/UXについて

Technical Requirements

1. LLM Selection & Usage

• Target Models: The focus is on Open-Source LLMs such as Qwen, Llama, Mistral, Gemma, and DeepSeek, as well as their derivatives (e.g., Swallow, ELYZA).
• Core Evaluation Criteria: We prioritize products that utilize these open-source models as their primary reasoning engine.
  • While using closed-source APIs (e.g., OpenAI’s GPT, Google’s Gemini) is permitted, products relying on them as the main "brain" will be difficult to evaluate highly, given the hackathon’s mission to "explore the potential of the open AI ecosystem."
• Hybrid Approaches: You are welcome to use closed-source or specialized models for specific tasks where they excel, such as speech recognition (Whisper), speech synthesis, or video generation.
  • If you choose to use models like GPT-4o or Gemini 1.5 Pro for core features, please provide a clear rationale (e.g., logic or accuracy benchmarks) for why they were necessary.
• Development Tools: The use of AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) is encouraged. However, the use of these tools themselves will not be evaluated as "Generative AI implementation" in the final scoring.

2. Evaluation Scope

• Our goal is "Expanding use cases for the Open AI Ecosystem." Therefore, only the work developed and implemented during the hackathon will be evaluated.
• You may bring in pre-tuned models; however, the accuracy of the tuning itself will not be part of the scoring.

3. Technical Challenges & UX

• Ambitious Tech Stacks: We encourage you to explore advanced architectures such as Multimodal (image/video analysis), Multi-agent systems, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), MCP (Model Context Protocol), and Local LLMs.
• Mobility-Specific Constraints: Architectures that consider the unique constraints of a "moving device" (the car)—such as offline capabilities, low latency, and real-time processing—will be highly regarded.
• UI/UX: Elaborate design is not required. It is sufficient to have a "Minimum Viable UI" (including voice interfaces or hardware) that clearly demonstrates the problem-solving use case within a vehicle or during transit.

4. Compliance

• Requesting development assistance from external members who are not registered participants is strictly prohibited.

Presentation Requirements

Final Round

• Duration: 5-minute pitch + Q&A session with judges.
• Demo: A demonstration is mandatory. This can be a live demo on actual hardware or a pre-recorded demo video.

Preliminary Round

⏳ Deadlines (Strict Adherence)

• 14:30 – Code Freeze
  • All development and code modifications must stop at this time.
  • This is also the strict deadline for your Final Submission on Discord.
