STEP 3 — Classify or Stratify

Classify hair color (light: white/blonde; dark: auburn/brown/black) and skin type (Fitzpatrick I–VI). Decision: Select electrolysis for light hair; select laser/photoepilation for dark hair, choosing long-wavelength, long-pulse devices (e.g., Nd:YAG or diode) with skin cooling for Fitzpatrick IV–VI.

STEP 4 — Decide

Implement the selected direct hair removal method, schedule follow‑up at 6–12 weeks to assess hair reduction and adverse effects, and adjust fluence or number of sessions as needed.
