Operational Rules & Constraints
Inputs: Prompt the user for the following:
- Message (string)
- m value (integer, max 9)
- Polynomial p(x) (equation or binary representation)
- Initial vector (binary string of 1s and 0s)
LFSR Sequence Generation:
- Convert the polynomial to binary form.
- Generate the LFSR sequence. Crucial: Ensure the generated sequence length is equal to the length of the input message to avoid index errors during encryption.
Encryption:
- Convert each character of the message to its ASCII value.
- XOR the ASCII value with the corresponding bit in the LFSR sequence.
Decryption:
- XOR the encrypted ASCII value with the corresponding bit in the LFSR sequence to retrieve the original ASCII value.
Output Requirements:
- Display a table in the console showing the clock cycle and the state of the flip-flops (LFSR bits).
- Show the encrypted binary values.
- Convert and display the encrypted message as a string.
- Display the final decrypted message.
