PaperLab Worked Example Generation

When to Use

USE WHEN: turning a quantitative chapter section, notebook result, or validated paper result into a student-facing worked example.

Required Structure

Each example should include:

  • learning objective,
  • problem statement,
  • givens with units,
  • assumptions,
  • method or equation selection,
  • stepwise solution,
  • sanity check,
  • interpretation,
  • follow-up exercise.

Pass Criteria

  • All numbers trace to code, equations, or cited data.
  • Units are explicit and SI-first.
  • The final interpretation explains engineering meaning, not just arithmetic.
  • Follow-up exercises change meaningful variables.

Safety Rules

  • Do not invent numerical values.
  • Do not hide convergence or validity limits.
  • Keep solution manuals separate from student-facing versions when requested.
