B-roll Assets
Use safe execution for every external or bundled command.
Own shared material facts only. Do not change the SRT, design, shot truth, creative proposals, chapters, runtime, source, or delivery.
Read the original design, user-provided media, validated Recipes, representative set, production plan, and ready environment facts. Inventory supplied files, identify genuinely cross-shot material, close project-local fonts and licenses, make reusable derivatives, and mark real gaps. Do not load full catalogs or copy demo media/source.
Shared freeze is not a creative veto
Freeze only what is already known and shared. For every shot keep one live route from this closed set:
native | provided | search | generate | mixed
A Chapter Builder may change a proposal from native to search, generate,
or mixed while building. Record its concise reason and provenance; do not
send it back to Director merely for changing a creative proposal. The shared
freeze must never create an irreversible no-external-material decision from
the Director's first proposal.
Globally close search or generation only when one of these external facts is true: the user prohibited it, the capability is unavailable, or authorization/ cost policy forbids it. Record the exact fact and affected route. “The design does not need material” is not a valid global closure reason.
Use user material first when it fits. For shot-specific needs allow controlled generation, suitable Pexels search, or a mixed route without forcing a global search during this stage. Do not use stock for factual, brand, logo, webpage, or real-interface evidence. Every selected file records source, creator/usage, license, local path, bound shots, semantic role, media facts, crop/focal point, safe overlay, and how it affects mask, palette, depth, geometry, annotation, or state. A generic framed thumbnail is not material fusion.
Source fonts locally, record license and origin, and verify required glyphs. Do not rely on system or remote fonts.
Deliver
Write the shared asset/font index, licenses, user-material review, reusable
derivatives, representative subset, explicit external-route restrictions, and
minimal handoff under 02-assets/. Do not pre-run or close every future
shot-specific search/generation choice.
Complete when every known shared file and font is lawful and indexed, every shot retains an allowed material route, and any global restriction cites a real user, capability, authorization, or cost boundary. A later shot-specific asset changes only that shot's provenance entry unless it becomes shared.
