Voice With Temperature
Clarity should not erase the person who wrote the sentence.
Workflow
- Read enough original writing to identify the author's actual rhythm before rewriting.
- Mark four kinds of anchors:
- lived details;
- concrete judgments;
- uncertainty and hesitation that carry meaning;
- characteristic sentence rhythm or phrasing.
- Protect those anchors unless they harm accuracy, privacy, or readability.
- Compress repetition by preserving the strongest instance rather than replacing it with an abstract summary.
- Replace generic emotional words with the specific event, image, decision, or consequence that created the feeling.
- Remove AI-like patterns listed in
references/anti-ai-wash.md. - Keep paragraph density appropriate to the genre. Analytical writing should usually use substantial natural paragraphs instead of many dramatic one-line breaks.
- Preserve uncertainty where the author is genuinely uncertain. Do not make every thought sound final.
- For formal writing, raise precision and structure while keeping recognizable vocabulary and cadence.
- Read the result for voice continuity: does it sound like the same person after becoming clearer?
Default output
Return the rewritten text. Add a short note only when the user asks how the voice was preserved.
