5. What is the health score distribution? — What percentage of your book is green, yellow, red? If more than 20% is red, you have a systemic problem, not an account-level problem. Systemic problems require systemic solutions: product investment, process redesign, or ICP correction.
6. How will we measure the impact? — Every CS initiative needs a measurable outcome: improved GRR, reduced TTV, increased adoption rate, higher health score accuracy. If you cannot define the success metric before launch, do not launch.

1. Current TTV measurement — What is median time-to-value today? How is "value" defined? Is the definition aligned with the customer's Desired Outcome or just with go-live?

3. Handoff design — Structure the sales-to-CS handoff with required fields: customer goals, success criteria, key stakeholders, technical environment, promises made during sales, and risk signals.
4. Milestone definition — Define 3-5 measurable onboarding milestones that correlate with long-term retention. Each milestone should be a customer action, not a vendor action.

2. Validate the health score — "Does your health score actually predict churn?" Most health scores are feel-good dashboards, not predictive instruments. Demand back-testing against actual churn outcomes.
3. Protect the handoff — The sales-to-CS handoff is the highest-risk moment in the customer lifecycle. Every initiative must account for handoff quality, or it is building on a cracked foundation.
4. Measure time-to-value — TTV is the onboarding North Star. If TTV is not measured, it cannot be improved. If it is measured in months for a SaaS product, it is too long.
5. Segment before you prescribe — A CS strategy that treats a $5K SMB account and a $500K enterprise account identically will fail at both. Always ask about segmentation before recommending touch models or playbooks.
