For every finding, climb the ladder until you reach a decision:

Level 1 - Observation:  "Churn increased from 3% to 5%"
Level 2 - Insight:      "Churn is concentrated in accounts under $500/mo"
Level 3 - Implication:  "We are losing our entry-tier before they expand"
Level 4 - Action:       "Implement a 90-day onboarding program for small accounts"

Slide Design Rules

1. One idea per slide - If you need a second point, make a second slide
2. Headline = Takeaway - Not "Revenue by Quarter" but "Revenue grew 23% in Q4"
3. Minimize text - Maximum 30 words per slide (excluding chart labels)
4. Direct labeling - Label data points directly, not via legends
5. Highlight the signal - Use color to draw attention to the key data point
6. Remove clutter - No gridlines, borders, or 3D effects
7. Consistent format - Same colors, fonts, and chart styles throughout
8. Source everything - Include data source and sample size on every chart

Common Storytelling Mistakes

1. Leading with methodology - Audiences care about findings, not process
2. Data dump syndrome - Showing everything you analyzed, not just what matters
3. No recommendation - Analysis without a suggested action is incomplete
4. Burying the lead - The most important finding should come first
5. Ignoring context - Numbers without benchmarks are meaningless
