The Fundamental Grip

Pinch Grip (The Only Way)

THE PINCH GRIP:
1. Pinch the blade right where it meets the handle (the heel/bolster)
   - Thumb on one flat side of the blade
   - Index finger curled around the other flat side
   - Remaining three fingers wrap the handle
2. The knife should feel like an extension of your arm
3. Your wrist does NOT grip tightly - maintain a firm but relaxed hold

WHY THIS GRIP:
