Design Rules for Print Products
TYPOGRAPHY:
- Maximum 2 fonts per design (1 display + 1 supporting)
- Minimum 48pt equivalent for primary text on shirts
- Avoid thin/hairline fonts (print poorly on fabric)
- Test readability on dark AND light backgrounds
COLOR:
- Limit to 3-4 colors for screen printing compatibility
- Design for the most popular garment color (usually black)
- Test on black, white, navy, and heather gray
- Use CMYK color space for print (not RGB)
FILES:
- PNG with transparent background (most POD platforms)
