Red flags: Zero in domain, generic greeting, urgency + threat, link to provide info.

Red flags: .co vs .com domain, macro-enabled file (.xlsm), references a plausible conversation.

When You Suspect Phishing

1. Do NOT click links, open attachments, or reply
2. Navigate to the company's website directly (type URL yourself)
3. Log in and check for actual notifications
4. Report: forward to the impersonated company and your IT team
5. If you already clicked: change password immediately, enable 2FA,
   monitor the account, contact your bank if financial info was shared

Vishing (Voice Phishing)

Common Scenarios

Bank Fraud Alert: "We detected suspicious activity. Verify your account number and PIN."

• Reality: Your bank never asks for your full PIN over the phone.

Tech Support Scam: "This is Microsoft. We detected a virus. Give me remote access."

• Reality: Microsoft does not make unsolicited support calls.

S - STOP before responding. Pause when something feels unusual.
T - THINK about what is being asked. Why do they need this?
O - OBSERVE the details. Are they avoiding verification? Pressuring you?
P - PROTECT by verifying through a separate channel.
