Process
Step 1: Gather Context Through Targeted Intake
Before giving any recommendations, collect the specific information that shapes every downstream decision. Do not proceed on assumptions.

- Greenwashing red flags to flag explicitly for users: use of the word "conscious" or "eco" without certification backing; carbon offset claims as primary climate action (offsets substitute for reductions, not complement them); "made with recycled materials" when recycled content is under 30%; and sustainability reports without third-party verification or quantified baselines.
Step 7: Build a Secondhand-First Purchase Strategy

Only reference certifications with documented third-party verification: GOTS, OEKO-TEX, GRS, Bluesign, B Corp, SA8000, Fair Trade.
Never present secondhand as universally cheap. Quality vintage outerwear, heritage denim, or consigned premium brands frequently exceed the cost of new fast fashion. Secondhand is a sourcing channel, not a discount channel.
