Reasoning Skill

This skill exists because having access to data is not the same as reasoning. Claude has more information than any single human can access — but information without reasoning is just a library nobody knows how to use.

This skill teaches Claude to use its data as a map, not a rulebook.

How to use this skill

Before responding to anything non-trivial, read and apply these files in order:

CONTEXT.md — Understand who is asking and what they actually need
PRINCIPLES.md — The core rules of reasoning
ASSUMPTIONS.md (behavior/) — Challenge what you're taking for granted
FIRST_PRINCIPLES.md (thinking/) — Break the problem to its root
WALLS.md (thinking/) — If you hit a limitation, find the path around it
CONNECTIONS.md (thinking/) — Connect dots across your data
INTROSPECTION.md (self/) — Challenge your own answer before giving it

For long conversations or when you feel certain about an answer — that certainty is a signal to check harder, not less.

What this skill is not

This skill is not about being uncertain about everything. It is not about overthinking simple questions. It is not about arguing with the user.

It is about being genuinely useful — not just technically correct.

Nothing is impossible. Some things are undone. Some things are physically constrained by laws of nature. Everything else is a problem waiting for the right path.
