Bold Editorial Collage Cover Poster

Use the system imagegen skill and image-generation tool. Treat every uploaded photograph as the edit source. Build a full editorial graphic system around its strongest motif rather than decorating a simplified drawing with magazine text.

Output contract

• Produce one independent raster poster for every uploaded photo. Never combine photos into a collage, contact sheet, comparison layout, diptych, or shared canvas.
• Use a 3:4 portrait canvas with one exact horizontal 50/50 division. Keep truthful photography in the upper half and the bold editorial collage in the lower half. Do not let either medium invade the other.
• Preserve immediate correspondence through the hero's identity, posture, direction, silhouette, relationship, color memory, and repeated source motif.
• Build the lower half from a background graphic layer, a dominant middle hero layer, and a small foreground accent layer.
• Use one prominent English title and one Chinese emotional/narrative title, plus only a few supported cover lines.
• Return every poster as a separate image. Keep user-facing commentary to one short status sentence only when necessary.

Preserve the photographic upper half

Keep the source recognizably photographic. Preserve subject identity and count, anatomy or construction, proportions, emotion, pose, silhouette, direction, spatial relationships, real materials, natural light, and the original color atmosphere.

Apply only restrained art-magazine, fashion-publication, or exhibition-photography color correction. Do not redraw, vectorize, beautify, materially relight, or apply collage graphics, typography, texture, or graphic overlays to this region.

Crop deliberately for the upper half. When more area is needed, extend only plausible sky, ground, wall, water, foliage, or environmental background. Never stretch, warp, mirror, duplicate, or redesign the subject.

Define the editorial motif system

Before prompting, privately identify:

1. the one hero subject or inseparable relationship carrying recognition;
2. its decisive silhouette, posture, direction, scale, and three to six identity cues;
3. the source emotion, action, season, material, or symbolic meaning;
4. one core motif derived from a contour, local shape, environmental element, opening, texture, path, structure, or relationship;
5. how that motif can repeat, enlarge, crop, rotate, mirror, layer, or change texture without becoming generic decoration;
6. one small high-contrast foreground element tied to the source story;
7. the upper photograph's most lively and recognizable colors;
8. one English masthead/title, one Chinese emotional title, and only the cover information the source supports.

Do not choose a leaf, sun, circle, stripe, or grid merely because it looks editorial. The motif must be traceable to the source.

Do not expose this analysis or repeat the user's design brief.

Build three distinct visual layers

Background motif field

Repeat or enlarge the source motif into a broad graphic field. Use cropping, scale progression, partial overlap, texture changes, or directional rhythm to create atmosphere and depth.

Keep the background subordinate through lower contrast, larger scale, reduced detail, or more texture. It must frame and amplify the hero rather than become a wallpaper pattern.

Middle hero layer

Translate the hero into a clear flat illustration or graphic collage with strong silhouette, simplified planes, decisive local features, and source-specific direction. It may be offset, enlarged, cropped, repeated once as an echo, or layered through the motif field.

Keep this layer dominant and immediately recognizable. Use overlap and scale to establish the cover's visual center.

Foreground accent layer

Add one small, high-contrast source-supported element: a tiny figure, object, sign, flower, eye, tool, vehicle, light, color chip, label, or narrative fragment.

Use it to create drama, scale, surprise, or story. Keep it clearly subordinate and do not create another focal center.

Avoid many independent collage pieces, scrapbook fragments, photo cutouts, random stickers, repeated equal motifs, crowded foreground props, and full-scene illustration.

Use repetition and crop with purpose

Apply repetition to express source rhythm, multiplicity, motion, season, material, or memory. Vary scale, spacing, crop, orientation, and texture rather than stamping identical shapes evenly.

Use enlargement to turn a local source feature into environment. Use crop to create energy and continuation. Use overlap to connect motif, hero, and typography. Use one echo or duplicate only when it clarifies movement or narrative.

Keep one clear center of gravity and a strong reading path. Avoid template grids, mechanical symmetry, evenly tiled patterns, generic forest layers, decorative circles, and collage effects without source meaning.

Translate the source into a vivid flat palette

Extract the upper photograph's most energetic, recognizable, and emotionally charged colors. Compress them into a strong high-quality flat palette.

Use:

• one dominant principal color;
• one or two supporting colors;
• one deep color for weight, separation, or type;
• one bright lift or accent for energy.

High saturation is allowed when colors remain balanced and source-derived. Use area ratio, overlap, and value to prevent a cheap commercial look.

Avoid gray dirt, overall desaturation, fixed fashion palettes, neon overload, rainbow color, gradients, smooth digital blending, generic primary-color systems, and high-chroma colors unrelated to the source.

Build rich print texture without losing hierarchy

Use different physical textures by layer:

• grain or grid in the background motif;
• cloth-like, screenprint, or dry-brush character on selected hero planes;
• inkjet speckle, rubbing, or registration offset at overlaps and accents;
• matte paper and slight ink variation across the whole printed region.

Keep primary silhouettes and text readable. Texture must clarify layer and material, not create a uniform distressed overlay.

Avoid photorealistic textures, glossy surfaces, complex PBR, smooth 3D, lens effects, dirty vintage filters, full-page noise, paper tears, and random material sampling.

Build a real cover typography system

Derive one bold English main title from the source's theme, attitude, action, season, material, or symbol. Create one Chinese title with more emotional or narrative nuance.

Add only a few supported elements: a short description, place, time, label, issue notation, or theme tag. Use a set-order issue such as ISSUE 01 only when it clearly represents the current generated series, not a real publication.

Do not invent locations, seasons, dates, facts, quotes, brands, or publication identity. Keep exact words short enough to render legibly.

Use typography structurally:

• oversized horizontal title crossing a color field;
• vertical stack establishing an edge axis;
• local occlusion behind or in front of the hero;
• title cropped at a page boundary;
• Chinese title nested in blank space or a motif opening;
• small cover lines aligned to a grid or hero contour.

Use bold, modern, clear hierarchy with strong size contrast. The title may overlap the hero, but essential identity must remain readable.

Avoid pasted headings, equal bilingual titles, too many cover lines, commercial sales copy, e-commerce price blocks, logos, brand imitations, QR codes, signatures, pseudo-language, or watermarks.

Keep the composition readable

Use one focal hero, one motif field, one foreground accent, and one typography hierarchy. Let layers intersect while preserving clear scale and contrast.

The lower design may be off-center, cropped, or densely overlapped in one region, but it needs intentional quiet zones and a legible entry-to-title-to-hero-to-accent path.

Avoid full-page clutter, multiple equal focal points, many decorative shapes, complete scene backgrounds, repeated title blocks, and template cover symmetry.

Present the result as a flat artwork. Do not add a magazine mockup, hands, desk, shelf, wall, gallery room, device screen, packaging, or advertising campaign presentation.

Compile the image-edit prompt

Write one source-specific production prompt per input photo containing:

1. one independent 3:4 portrait output and the exact 50% photography / 50% editorial-collage split;
2. the upper-half preservation invariants, restrained fashion/editorial color correction, crop, and any safe background extension;
3. the lower hero, relationship, silhouette, posture, direction, three to six identity cues, emotion, and source motif;
4. the background motif's repetition/enlargement/crop/rotation/texture rhythm and subordinate hierarchy;
5. the middle hero's simplified planes, offset/enlargement/crop/echo, overlap, and visual dominance;
6. the single foreground accent, exact source, scale, color, placement, and drama/story function;
7. the exact principal/support/deep/lift colors, area roles, overlaps, and source correspondence;
8. the exact grain/grid/cloth/screenprint/inkjet/rubbing/dry-brush/registration textures assigned to each layer and protected critical edges;
9. the exact English main title, Chinese narrative title, supported cover lines/issue/tag, and their scale, orientation, crop, overlap, occlusion, grid, and negative-space functions;
10. hard exclusions: no multi-photo layout, no altered or redrawn upper subject, no approximate split, no arbitrary motif, no equal tiled pattern, no many collage fragments, no full scene, no second focal point, no gray/muddy palette, no smooth 3D, no full-page noise, no generic tourism or forest template, no e-commerce layout, no fake publication/location/date/fact, no logo, and no watermark.

Use concrete motif source, repetition, layer hierarchy, color area, texture assignment, and typographic interaction rather than relying on adjectives such as “premium,” “fashion,” “editorial,” “brand-like,” or “Japanese.”

Inspect and correct

Review every result at full size and thumbnail size. Verify the exact split, truthful upper photography, one recognizable lower hero, source-backed motif field, clear background/middle/foreground hierarchy, one small accent, vivid source palette, layer-specific print texture, legible English and Chinese titles, and a strong but controlled cover rhythm.

If the motif feels generic, replace it with a real source contour or structure. If the background competes, reduce its contrast or detail. If the design becomes a collage pile, merge fragments into the three-layer system. If type hides the hero, adjust occlusion and crop. If it looks like an e-commerce or travel template, remove commercial modules and strengthen source-specific motif and print material. Regenerate with one targeted correction when needed.
