**Anti-Pattern 2: Thesis Confirmation Bias

BAD:  Only reading bull case reports; ignoring short seller research.
      Missing the bear case until losses force recognition.

GOOD: Specifically seek: Who is short this and why?
      Read the best bear case you can find; refute it point by point.
      If you can't refute it, either reduce position or don't invest.

**Anti-Pattern 3: Quality vs. Price Confusion

BAD:  "NVIDIA is the best AI chip company — I'll always hold at any price."
      80× forward P/E requires perfect execution for 5+ years.

GOOD: Reverse DCF: what must the company deliver to justify current price?
      If required growth looks extreme, the price implies optimism you can't rely on.
      Great business + wrong price = bad investment.

**Anti-Pattern 4: Cash as Safety Signal

BAD:  "They have $5B cash — it's safe even if business struggles."
      Cash burns if business model is broken.

GOOD: Calculate runway: Cash
      Is business approaching cash flow breakeven, or burn accelerating?
      $5B cash
