When NOT to use

• Input is already in a validated, structured format (e.g., feature table, processed mzML with verified schema compliance) — skip to downstream modules like Eclipse or Gravity.
• Data integrity is pre-guaranteed by instrument vendor certification or prior successful processing — error handling overhead may be unnecessary, though logging remains advisable.
• Partial data loss is acceptable in your workflow — if you can tolerate lossy parsing, a simpler non-defensive parser may suffice, but this is not recommended for metabolomics QC pipelines.

Limitations
