How to apply

• Node count equals the number of input features; edge count is non-zero and matches the number of feature pairs exceeding the correlation threshold.
• Correlation values on edges fall within the expected range (−1 to 1 for Pearson; verify matching sign of r_threshold parameter).
• igraph object passes integrity checks: is_igraph() returns TRUE, and vertex/edge attributes are correctly populated.
• Runtime and memory usage are substantially reduced compared to naïve pairwise computation (README cites up to 100-fold speed improvement and 50-fold memory reduction vs. other R packages).
• p-values associated with correlations are non-negative and appropriate for the chosen multiple-testing correction method.

Limitations

• Correlation-based inference assumes linear or monotonic relationships; non-linear associations may be missed.
