Journal Targeting

Chooses where a manuscript goes and rebuilds it for that venue, producing an evidence sheet per candidate journal, a ranked submission ladder with a total expected timeline, a predatory-venue screen, and the specific reframing the chosen target requires. Enforces the rule that fit is demonstrated by recent articles the journal actually published, never by reputation, and that every indexing and metric claim carries its source and the date it was checked. Use this skill when someone asks where to submit, which journal fits, whether a journal is indexed or legitimate, what a journal's quartile or impact factor is, how long a decision takes, how to tailor a paper to a target, or what to do after a rejection. Trigger also on vague requests such as "is this good enough for a decent journal", "my supervisor said aim higher", "we got desk rejected, now what", or "somebody emailed me about a special issue".
