NIW Document Review
Review one immigration document against the Matter of Dhanasar framework and the kit's review protocols, and return a verdict the user can act on.
This is an educational drafting review, not legal advice. Final review belongs to a licensed immigration attorney.
Step 1: Load context
- The document itself (convert from PDF/Word first if needed).
- The user's case profile —
case/PROFILE.mdif present; otherwise ask for a short case summary. Reviews without case context miss the most dangerous class of problems: cross-document inconsistencies. - Other case documents, if the user points to them — for consistency checks.
Step 2: Intake
Fill in the intake block from protocols/document-review-template.md: document type, status, goal, locked facts, known concerns. Ask the user only for fields you cannot infer.
Step 3: Run the protocol chain
Use the suggested order from the template:
- Any document (minimum):
08-fact-checker→02-evidence-analyst→04-uscis-officer-simulator - Narrative documents (petition letter, personal statement, business plan): add
01-case-strategistbefore and03-narrative-architect+06-attorney-interface-agentafter. - Recommendation letters:
08→05-recommendation-letter-builder→04→06.
Protocols live in protocols/. Follow each protocol's output format and scoring scale — the scores make reviews comparable across documents and over time.
Step 4: Evaluate against Dhanasar
Whatever the document type, close with the three-prong check:
Prong 1 — Substantial merit and national importance:
- Is the proposed endeavor specific (not "I work in an important field")?
- Is national importance tied to documented needs or federal priorities?
- Are the claims backed by evidence?
Prong 2 — Well positioned:
- Is there a clear nexus between the petitioner's record and the endeavor?
- Is there evidence of progress, not just plans?
- Is there a concrete plan with milestones?
Prong 3 — Beneficial to waive:
- Is the impracticality of labor certification explained?
- Is the broader U.S. benefit articulated beyond one employer?
Step 5: Output
