- Is the main problem clear?
- Is the first useful moment fast enough?
- Does the app give value before asking for payment?
Completeness
- Does it feel like a working product?
- Are there real flows beyond one result screen?
- Are empty/error/loading states present?
Differentiation
- What makes it meaningfully different from obvious competitors?
- Is the difference visible in the UI and flow, not only in marketing copy?
- Is there at least one unique mechanism, habit loop, or personalization layer?
App Store risk
- Could it look like a clone?
- Could it look like a thin wrapper around AI/API output?
- Are claims too strong or unsupported?
- Does the paywall block too much too early?
Monetization readiness
- Is premium value clear?
- Are free and paid boundaries fair?
- Is the paywall connected to a real user need?
Build scope
- What can be removed for MVP?
- What must stay for credibility?
- What should move to v1.1?

Scoring
When useful, score each area 1-10:
- Value clarity
- Completeness
- Differentiation
- UI credibility
- Monetization clarity
- Review risk
- MVP feasibility
Explain only scores below 8 in detail.
App Store review heuristics
Flag likely issues when the app:
- Replicates a competitor with different colors only
- Has almost no native interaction beyond upload → AI answer
- Uses placeholder content across many screens
- Hides nearly all value behind a paywall immediately
- Makes medical, legal, financial, or outcome-guarantee claims without appropriate caution
- Has no meaningful saved state/history/progress
- Uses misleading screenshots or exaggerated copy
Suggest safer alternatives:
- Add history, progress, plans, saved items, or personalization
- Make the unique workflow visible on the home screen
- Add realistic edge states
- Narrow the first version to one strong core use case
- Use careful copy around AI uncertainty
Competitor-inspired products
It is acceptable to learn from competitors, but do not clone exact screen structure, copy, visual hierarchy, or paywall framing.
When reviewing competitor-inspired apps, identify:
- What to borrow as category convention
- What to avoid copying
- What to make uniquely ownable
- What to simplify for MVP
Final behavior
Be direct and practical. Do not over-warn. The user is trying to ship.
When the MVP is good enough, say so and recommend the smallest remaining release-focused changes.
