Session Handoff — End-of-Session Notes

Generate a handoff note at the end of a work session for continuity in the next session.

Process

1. Identify the current project directory
2. Run git log to review changes made during this session
3. Run git status to check for uncommitted changes
4. Generate a handoff note in the format below
5. Save to the project's memory directory (e.g., ~/.claude/projects/{project}/memory/)

Save Rules

• File name: session_{YYYYMMDD}_handoff.md
• If a handoff for the same day exists, overwrite it
• Update the project's memory index file if one exists
• Suggest cleaning up old handoff notes (older than 2 weeks)
