Intake
Need: question/thesis, field, level (undergrad / master / paper), length, citation style (APA/MLA/Chicago/Harvard/IEEE), and any required sections.
If sources are not provided, produce structure + argument + placeholder citations marked [SOURCE NEEDED]. Never invent papers, years, or DOIs.
Default structure
- Title + abstract (150-200 words when a paper, not a short essay)
- Introduction: problem, gap, question, claim, roadmap
- Theoretical framework / literature map
- Method or analytical approach (if empirical)
- Development / analysis
- Discussion
- Conclusion (no new evidence)
- Bibliography
Process
- Turn the topic into a contestable claim.
- Outline section-by-section with the job of each paragraph.
- Draft only after the outline is agreed, unless the user asked for a full draft immediately.
- Track claims vs evidence. Flag speculation.
- Keep register academic but readable. No filler.
Rules
- Do not fabricate citations, quotations, data, or page numbers.
- Label AI-suggested sources as candidates to verify.
