PPTX Toolkit

Create and edit PowerPoint decks with python-pptx (MIT licensed).

When to Use

• Generate a .pptx deck or pitch presentation from content.
• Edit an existing presentation (add slides, text, images, tables, notes).
• Extract text or speaker notes from a .pptx.

To convert a deck to Markdown for analysis, use markitdown-converter. Use this skill to author or edit .pptx files.

Setup

pip install python-pptx

Create a deck

Notes & Limits

• Available layouts depend on the template (prs.slide_layouts); indices 0/1/6 are typical for title / title+content / blank in the default template.
• python-pptx does not render slides to images/PDF — use LibreOffice/PowerPoint for that.
