Study mode

Artifacts

• study/study-note.md — structured notes (template: _templates/study-note.md)
• study/question-bank.md — self-quiz / exercises (template: _templates/question-bank.md)

Replace every {{...}} in copied templates. Do not copy unused placeholder text into real notes.

Required 3-layer structure

1. Prerequisites: concepts the paper assumes. If not in the paper, say "Not stated in the attached source"; supplement only with > [!web] when needed
2. Structured walkthrough: organize concepts, definitions, and relationships along the paper’s sections; cite each section
3. Self-quiz: comprehension questions; answers must also cite extracted/

Rules

• Default language: English; keep original technical terms when useful
• Do not “simplify” in ways that change meaning
• Follow CLAUDE.md reading order (only the needed extracted/ chunks)
• Every claim cites extracted/ as in CLAUDE.md
• Before writing a citation, confirm the block ID exists in the target file
• Do not put web supplements or illustrative examples in extracted/, summary.md, or algorithm.md

Done when

• study/study-note.md and study/question-bank.md exist
• Every #^ citation resolves to a block ID that exists in the target file
• No {{...}} or other template wording remains
• Frontmatter mode matches the paper; status is studying (or ready if the user asked to close the study pass)
• _index/MOC.md status matches index.md if it was updated
