This skill uses environment variables managed by jelly-dotenv. See skills/jelly-dotenv/SKILL.md for configuration details.

Configuration

Setting Up Service Account

1. Go to Google Cloud Console
2. Create a new project or select existing one
3. Enable "Google Search Console API"
4. Create a Service Account:
   • Go to IAM & Admin → Service Accounts
   • Create service account
   • Download JSON key file
5. Add service account email to Search Console:
   • Go to Search Console
   • Settings → Users and permissions
   • Add user with service account email
   • Grant "Full" or "Restricted" access

Setting Up OAuth 2.0

1. Go to Google Cloud Console
2. Create OAuth 2.0 credentials (Web application)
3. Set authorized redirect URI
4. Use OAuth playground or your app to get refresh token
5. Required scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly

Scenario 1: Search Performance Overview

Security Policy

Authentication

• Service Account: Recommended for server-side usage
• OAuth 2.0: For user-authenticated requests
• Credentials: Loaded from environment variables only
• Logging: Private keys and tokens automatically redacted

Data Access

• Read-Only by Default: Uses webmasters.readonly scope
• Write Operations: Sitemap submit/delete requires full scope
• Site-Scoped: Access limited to authorized sites only

Rate Limiting

• Automatic: Respects Google API quotas
• Retry: Exponential backoff on 429 errors
• Daily Quota: 1,200 queries per day (default)

Limitations

• Historical Data: Maximum 16 months of search data
• Data Freshness: 2-3 day delay for search analytics
• URL Inspection: 2,000 requests per day per site
• Row Limit: Maximum 25,000 rows per query
• Dimensions: Maximum 3 dimensions per query

Workflow

Step 1: 인증 확인

Best Practices

DO:

• 서비스 계정 이메일을 Search Console에 추가
• 날짜 범위는 최대 16개월까지만 조회 가능
• 대량 쿼리 시 rowLimit 파라미터 활용
• 정기적으로 사이트맵 상태 확인
• API 응답을 캐싱하여 쿼터 절약

DON'T:

• API 키를 코드에 하드코딩하지 않기
• 일일 쿼터(1,200) 초과하지 않기
• 2-3일 이내 데이터 기대하지 않기 (지연 있음)
• 쿼리당 3개 이상 dimension 사용하지 않기
• 25,000행 이상 단일 쿼리로 요청하지 않기

Troubleshooting

403 Forbidden

• 서비스 계정이 Search Console에 추가되었는지 확인
• Search Console → Settings → Users and permissions

404 Site Not Found

• 사이트가 Search Console에 등록되었는지 확인
• 사이트 URL 형식 확인 (https://, sc-domain:)

Invalid Date Range

• 날짜 형식: YYYY-MM-DD
• 최대 16개월 이전까지만 조회 가능
