Security Best Practices

Key Management

Connection Issues

Permission Denied

Common causes:

1. Wrong key permissions: chmod 600 ~/.ssh/id_*
2. Wrong .ssh dir permissions: chmod 700 ~/.ssh
3. Key not in agent: ssh-add ~/.ssh/mykey
4. Server doesn't have public key: ssh-copy-id
5. SELinux/firewall blocking
